Amref Health Africa seeks to expand our support from Canadians. Monthly donors are an essential way for us to continue our health-focused work in Africa. We use different ways to acquire new supporters including through public outreach and door-to-door fundraising.
Help slow the spread of COVID-19 in African countries through your monthly support
From time-to-time, Amref Health Africa in Canada actively seeks monthly donors to support our health-focused work in Africa through door-to-door canvassing with fundraising specialists. Door-to-door canvassing is not currently underway.
Door-to-door canvassing is a cost-effective way for Amref Health Africa in Canada to raise needed funds to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in countries in Africa where we work. And, donating monthly is a hassle-free way for supporters to give while helping us to lower our administration costs. With more than 11 million cases and 247,000 deaths, COVID-19 is accelerating across the continent. We know that responding to the COVID-19 pandemic wherever it is in the world is essential to ensuring its defeat here in Canada.
We understand the need for safe practices to prevent the continued spread of the pandemic in Canada. That applies to door-to-door fundraising. Changes have been made to the door-to-door canvassing process to maintain the safety of canvassers and the people they will be speaking to, such as contactless giving and use of personal protective equipment.
